Do you accept insurance?
No, I do not accept insurance. However, I am happy to work with you to provide an invoice for your insurance company for partial or full reimbursement depending on your out-of-network benefits. Depending on your plan, you may be eligible for 60-80% reimbursement of your session costs. If you are interested in pursuing this option, contact your insurance company and ask them the following questions:
- Do I have mental health coverage?
- Do I have out-of-network benefits?
- Do I have a deductible, and has it been met?
When will I be done with therapy?
It depends. Everyone is different. Some people prefer short-term therapy and others prefer longer-term. This is something we will discuss in our sessions together and I will check in with you periodically to ensure we are on the same page. I value open communication and transparency to ensure optimal understanding and continuity of care.
How long are the sessions?
Sessions are generally 45 minutes.
How much do sessions cost?
Please inquire directly regarding fees.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes, I offer online video sessions via a HIPAA-compliant portal; however, this is a service generally provided to established patients due to inclement weather, travel, etc. I find in-person sessions to be essential as we develop trust and become familiar with one another.
What happens in the first appointment?
I encourage my first-time clients to arrive 10 minutes early so you can complete paperwork. We will review the paperwork together and discuss any questions you may have. We will talk about what you are looking to address in therapy, as well as discuss your background and history. This is a time where we start to evaluate whether we are a good team. I will be checking in with you at the end of the first few sessions to see if you feel that we're a good fit.
