Specializing in
Anxiety, Life Changes, & Mindfulness
Serving Clients in New York, Connecticut, + Tennessee
I have been practicing for over ten years, helping people of all ages with a wide variety of struggles, find relief and grow to be the people they want to be. Together, we can examine thought patterns or expectations that may impact the way you view yourself and others. Through this process, you’ll achieve a deeper level of awareness, understanding, and self-compassion.
The expectations from work, social media, and even society can make us feel disconnected- to ourselves and others. Therapy is a great place for anyone to slow down, reclaim a sense of calm, and reconnect to their sense of self.
My goal is to provide you with an affirming, nonjudgmental, and safe space where we can work through whatever challenges you may be experiencing- whether at work, in relationships, in your day-to-day experience., or simply feeling stuck. My style can be best described as warm, honest, and direct. I work collaboratively with you to help you overcome your current stressors, but also strive to assist you in accomplishing long-term, sustainable growth. I would be honored to join you on your journey towards achieving lasting and positive change!
Anxiety
The stress response kept our ancestors alive. The stress response is what told them to freeze, hide, or attack when a threat loomed near. We have that same stress response today. But what happens when the threat is no longer the sabertooth tiger of our ancestors, but a work deadline, societal expectation, or argument with your partner?
Life Transitions
Recent move? Planning a wedding? New job? Sudden break up or loss?
Experiencing a sudden life transition can be disorienting. Processing the loss of what you once had while simultaneously transitioning to your new reality can be a shock to the system. Together we can explore the “what now” and “what next”.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness encourages a stance of non-judgementality, which in today’s fast-paced world may seem unheard of. We are all moving so fast and doing so many things at once, that we are in a near-constant state of doing, thinking, and evaluating. No wonder so many of us are experiencing deep exhaustion and burnout!
Relationships + Communication
Relationships are complicated. They are a dance where two people are continuously learning the steps together. In our sessions, we can slow down the tempo and examine the dynamics of the relationship to better understand what is happening. Together we can further explore what you need in a relationship, how these needs have manifested in other relationships, and what it is like for you to share your needs with others.
