Hi, I'm Alexa!

I am originally from Texas. I received my Bachelors degree in Social Work at Baylor University (sic 'em, Bears!) and moved to New York City to pursue my Masters degree at Columbia University. Since graduating I have worked with clients of all ages across the five boroughs, addressing anxiety, depression, relationships, perfectionism, and grief.

I use a holistic and psychodynamic approach to therapy, combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness. I seek to create a dialogue with you to learn what you are open to exploring.

In my work with my clients, I value our working relationship tremendously. The therapeutic relationship is the heart of a meaningful therapy experience. It is what allows us to create a safe space where you can feel comfortable discussing your experiences and emotions. Together, we can explore your core beliefs and internal narratives, and how they influence the way you view yourself, others, and the world around you.

Contact me to set up a consultation so we can see if I'm the therapist for you!
